Literal Poetry

I had to bury my last dream. 

It's ten feet under now. 

Completely dead and forever gone along with the ones before it. 

I am stripped from all of my dreams

I feel lighter 

They fell one by one from my heart 

Ashes to ashes 

And

Dust to dust... 

It's just me now, here... 

Just me 

Free from any kind of destiny

I am just laying here, breathing. 

I stopped fighting

I let go

I am embracing the unknown 

I give in to it, I surrender to it completely
